The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The All-merciful 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He created man. 3 and has taught him articulate speech. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 The stars and the trees prostrate. 6 And the skies has He raised high, and has devised [for all things] a measure, 7 In order that you may not transgress (due) balance. 8 Therefore, maintain just measure and do not transgress against the Balance. 9 And He appointed the earth for the creatures. 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees sheathed. 11 the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs. 12 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 16 He is the Lord of the two easts and the Lord of the two wests. 17 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together, 19 but has created a barrier between them so that they will not merge totally. 20 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 21 There cometh forth from both of them the pearl and coral-stone. 22 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 23 To Him only belong the sailing ships, raised above the sea like hills. 24 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
