Never will you attain to righteousness unless you spend for the cause of God out of what you cherish; and whatever you spend is known to God. 92 ۞ All food was lawful for the Descendants of Israel (Jacob), except what Israel forbade for himself, before the Taurat (Torah) was sent down; say, “Bring the Taurat and read it, if you are truthful.” 93 Then whoever fabricates a lie against Allah after this, these it is that are the unjust. 94 Say: "God has veritably spoken the truth. So now follow the way of Abraham the upright, who was not of idolaters." 95 Verily the first House set apart unto mankind was that at Bakka, blest, and a guidance unto the worlds. 96 It contains clear signs, and the spot where Abraham had stood. And anyone who enters it will find security. And whosoever can afford should visit the House on a pilgrimage as duty to God. Whosoever denies, should remember that God is independent of the peoples of the world. 97 Say: O People of the Scripture! Why disbelieve ye in the revelations of Allah, when Allah (Himself) is Witness of what ye do? 98 Say: "O ye People of the Book! Why obstruct ye those who believe, from the path of Allah, Seeking to make it crooked, while ye were yourselves witnesses (to Allah's Covenant)? but Allah is not unmindful of all that ye do." 99 Believers! Were you to obey a party of those who were given the Book, they might cause you to renounce the Truth after you have attained to faith. 100 And how could you deny the truth when it is unto you that God's messages are being conveyed, and it is in your midst that His Apostle lives? But he who holds fast unto God has already been guided onto a straight way. 101
