Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 noble scribes, 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
