And when the messengers came unto the family of Lot, 61 He said: Lo! ye are folk unknown (to me). 62 They said: "Yea, we have come to thee to accomplish that of which they doubt. 63 and we have come to you with the truth, and surely we are truthful, 64 so leave with your family some time in the latter part of the night, and walk behind them. Let none of you look back. Go where you are commanded." 65 We issued this command to him, for they were going to be destroyed in the morning. 66 And there came the people of the city rejoicing 67 He said, “These are my guests – do not dishonour me.” 68 “And fear Allah and do not disgrace me.” 69 They said: "Did we not forbid thee (to speak) for all and sundry?" 70 He said, "Here are my daughters, if you must act in this way." 71 By your life! In their drunkenness they were truly blind. 72 Then the shout took hold of them at the sunrise. 73 And We turned (the cities) upside down, and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay. 74 Lo! therein verily are portents for those who read the signs. 75 And indeed, those cities are [situated] on an established road. 76 Surely! Therein is indeed a sign for the believers. 77 Certainly the dwellers in the Thicket were evildoers, 78 So We took vengeance on them. And verily both are on a high-road open. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
