The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those who set the ranks in battle order 1 and the drivers driving, 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 We have indeed adorned the lowest heaven with stars as ornaments. 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 but if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge,] he is [henceforth] pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 and when they become aware of a [divine] message, they turn it to ridicule 14 and say: “This is nothing but plain sorcery. 15 "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we (then) verily be resurrected? 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 Proclaim, “Yes, and with disgrace.” 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 They will say, "Woe to us!" (They will be told), "This is the day of receiving recompense". 20 This is the Day of Judgment which ye were wont to belie. 21
