Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 Then those (ships) that glide easily, 3 And the angels who distribute the affair. 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 though only those who are averse to the Truth will turn away from (believing in it). 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 who are steeped in ignorance and heedlessness. 11 They ask: when is the Day of Requital coming? 12 It will be on the day when they will be roasted in the fire. 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains. 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 AND ON EARTH there are signs [of God's existence, visible] to all who are endowed with inner certainty, 20 and also in yourselves. Can you not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth! it is most surely the truth, just as you do speak. 23
