Has there come to you information about the honored guests of Ibrahim? 24 When they came to him, they said: “Peace”; he said: “Peace also be to you; (you seem to be) a group of strangers.” 25 Then he turned to his household, so brought out a roasted calf [as the property of Ibrahim (Abraham) was mainly cows]. 26 And placed it near them; he said, "Will you not eat?" 27 Then he conceived a fear about them, and they said: 'Have no fear', and gave him the glad tidings that he was to have a knowledgeable son. 28 His wife came out lamenting, striking her forehead, and said: "I, am old and barren woman?" 29 They said: Thus says your Lord: Surely He is the Wise, the Knowing. 30 ۞ Abraham asked, "What is your errand, O messengers?" 31 They said, 'We have been sent to a people of sinners, 32 to loose upon them stones of clay 33 which are marked by your Lord for the punishment of those guilty of excesses." 34 Then we brought forth such believers as were there. 35 But We found not there any household of the Muslims except one [i.e. Lout (Lot) and his two daughters]. 36 And so We left therein a message for those who fear the grievous suffering [which awaits all evildoers]. 37 And in Musa: When We sent him to Firon with clear authority. 38 Then he turned away with his court, and said: a magician or a madman. 39 So We took him and his forces, and threw them into the sea; and his was the blame. 40 In 'Ad (also is a sign), when We sent a blasting wind against them, 41 It left out nothing in its path, but which it split up into fragments. 42 And in (the tribe of) Thamud (there is a portent) when it was told them: Take your ease awhile. 43 But they disobeyed the command of their Lord; so they were destroyed by a thunderbolt, and they could only gape, 44 They were unable even to stand up or protect themselves. 45 (So were) the people of Nuh (Noah) before them. Verily, they were a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). 46
