The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 And by those who float in space, 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. 9 They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? 10 What! when we are rotten bones? 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow (in virtue)? 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 So he showed him the greater sign; 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). 26
