The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Recite thou in the name of thy Lord Who hath created 1 He created man from a clot. 2 Recite thou: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 who, by the pen, taught the human being: 4 Hath taught man that which he knew not. 5 And yet, but yet man is rebellious, 6 that he sees himself sufficed. 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the returning. 8 Have you seen one who prevents 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Bethinkest thou, if he is himself guided, 11 Or enjoins piety? 12 Have you seen if he denies and turns away - 13 Does he not know that Allah sees everything? 14 Nay! if he desist not, We would certainly smite his forehead, 15 A lying, sinful forelock! 16 Let him call on his associates for help 17 We will call the guards of hell. 18 Nay, pay thou no heed to him, but prostrate thyself [before God] and draw close [unto Him]! ۩ 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
