And verily We sent Moses with Our revelations and a clear warrant 96 unto Pharaoh and his great ones: but these followed [only] Pharaoh's bidding - and Pharaoh's bidding led by no means to what is right. 97 He will go before his people on the Day of Judgment, and lead them into the Fire (as cattle are led to water): But woeful indeed will be the place to which they are led! 98 They were pursued by a curse in this world and so will they be on the Day of Resurrection. What an evil reward will they receive! 99 This is an account of (the fate of) the towns which We relate to you; of them are some that stand and (others) mown down. 100 We did not wrong them; they wronged themselves. When your Lord's chastisement descended upon them, their gods, on whom they called apart from God, were not of the least avail, and all they did was only to add to their destruction. 101 Such is the Seizure of your Lord when He seizes the (population of) towns while they are doing wrong. Verily, His Seizure is painful, and severe. 102 Surely in that is a sign for him who fears the chastisement of the Hereafter. That will be a Day when all men shall be mustered together; that will be a Day when whatever happens shall be witnessed by all. 103 Nor shall We delay it but for a term appointed. 104 The Day it comes no soul will speak except by His permission. And among them will be the wretched and the prosperous. 105 The wretched ones will be in the Fire sighing and groaning, 106 Abiding therein so long as the heavens and the earth endure, except as your Lord please; surely your Lord is the mighty doer of what He intends. 107 ۞ And as for those who shall be blest, they shall be in the Garden, as abiders therein so long as the heavens and the earth remain, save as thy Lord may will; a gift unending. 108 Be not then in doubt as to what these men worship. They worship nothing but what their fathers worshipped before (them): but verily We shall pay them back (in full) their portion without (the least) abatement. 109
