The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 Has taught the Qur’an to His beloved Prophet (Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him). 2 Has created Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) as the soul of mankind. 3 He taught him eloquent speech. 4 The sun and the moon are made punctual. 5 and the stars and the trees all prostrate themselves, 6 And the heaven! He hath elevated it, and He hath set the balance. 7 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. 8 And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance. 9 He spread out the earth for the people. 10 Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates] 11 and a variety of corn with both husk and grain. 12 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created the human being from clay like that used for pottery 14 And created jinns from the white-hot flame of fire. 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 Lord of the two easts and of the two wests is He. 17 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 [yet] between them is a barrier which they may not transgress. 20 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 Which, of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 23 And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. 24 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 25
