In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
