The Hijjr Valley (Al-Hijjr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ AlifLaamRa. Those are the verses of the Book, the Clear Koran. 1 Perhaps (often) will those who disbelieve wish that they were Muslims [those who have submitted themselves to Allah's Will in Islam Islamic Monotheism, this will be on the Day of Resurrection when they will see the disbelievers going to Hell and the Muslims going to Paradise]. 2 Let them eat and enjoy themselves and be diverted by [false] hope, for they are going to know. 3 We never destroyed any town without pre-ordaining the fate of its people. 4 No people can hasten on their doom nor can they postpone (it). 5 They say: 'Thou, upon whom the Remembrance is sent down, thou art assuredly possessed! 6 Why do you not bring down angels upon us if you are indeed truthful?" 7 We do not send angels except with the truth. Then they shall have no respite. 8 Lo! We, even We, reveal the Reminder, and lo! We verily are its Guardian. 9 We sent messengers before you to the previous peoples, 10 And never came there unto them a messenger but they did mock him. 11 This is how We make the mocking* enter the hearts of the guilty. (* The acts of disbelief.) 12 They will not believe in it, though they have before them the example of former peoples, 13 Even if We opened out to them a gate from heaven, and they were to continue (all day) ascending therein, 14 yet would they say, 'Our eyes have been dazzled; nay, we are a people bewitched!' 15
