We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!" 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
