Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ We cast him out of the fish unto dry land and he was sick. 145 and We caused a pumpkin tree to grow over him. 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 And they believed, so We gave them provision till a time. 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Will you not then reflect? 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Bring your book if what you say is true. 157 They have set up a kinship between Him and the jinn; and the jinn know that they shall be arraigned. 158 God is too glorious for what they ascribe to Him 159 except for God's sincere servants. 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 (Gabriel said to the Prophet): 'Each of us has a known place. 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 And we are most surely they who declare the glory (of Allah). 166 They used to say: 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 Yet they disbelieve therein. Presently they shall come to know. 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 that they shall certainly be succoured, 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 So turn thou aside from them for a season. 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our punishment? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 LIMITLESS in His glory is thy Sustainer, the Lord of almightiness, [exalted] above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 180 Peace be upon the Messengers 181 And Praise to Allah, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
