He it is who has made the earth easy to live upon: go about, then, in all its regions, and partake the sustenance which He provides: but [always bear in mind that] unto Him you shall be resurrected. 15 Are you secure of those in the heaven that He should not make the earth to swallow you up? Then lo! it shall be in a state of commotion. 16 Or have you become unafraid of the One Who controls the heavens, that He will not send a torrent of stones upon you? So now you will realise, how My warning turned out! 17 And indeed those before them had denied – therefore how did My rejection turn out! 18 Have they not seen birds above them spreading and closing their wings, with none holding them except the Merciful One? He oversees everything. 19 Or who is it that could be an army for you to aid you other than the Most Merciful? The disbelievers are not but in delusion. 20 Or who is it that will give you sustenance if He should withhold His sustenance? Nay! they persist in disdain and aversion. 21 Will he find the way who grovels flat on his face, or he who walks straight on the right path? 22 Say: "It is He who raised you and gave you ears and eyes and hearts. How little are the thanks you offer!" 23 Say, "It is He who has multiplied you throughout the earth, and to Him you will be gathered." 24 They say: “If you are truthful, tell us when will this promise (of the Hereafter) be fulfilled?” 25 Say: The knowledge is with Allah only, and I am but a plain warner; 26 But when they see it approaching, the faces of those who disbelieve will be distressed, and it will be said, "This is that for which you used to call." 27 Say: 'What think you? If God destroys me and those with me, or has mercy on us, then who will protect the unbelievers from a painful chastisement?' 28 Say: "He is the Most Gracious: we have attained to faith in Him, and in Him have we placed our trust; and in time you will come to know which of us was lost in manifest error." 29 Say: 'What do you think. If your water should sink into the earth in the morning, who then would bring you running water' 30
