It is He who sends down water from heaven, which provides drink for you and brings forth trees on which your herds feed. 10 [and] by virtue thereof He causes crops to grow for you, and olive trees, and date palms, and grapes, and all [other] kinds of fruit: in this, behold, there is a message indeed for people who think! 11 He has subjected to you the night, the day, the sun and the moon. The stars are subjected by His Command. Surely, in that there is a sign for a nation who understands. 12 And other things of different shades has He produced on the earth for you. In this are signs for those who reflect. 13 And it is He who subjected the sea for you to eat from it tender meat and to extract from it ornaments which you wear. And you see the ships plowing through it, and [He subjected it] that you may seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful. 14 And He has set up on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and rivers and roads; that ye may guide yourselves; 15 and He has set other landmarks in the earth. And by the stars too do people find their way. 16 Is the One who can create equal to the one who cannot create anything? Why, then, will you not consider? 17 And if you would count Allah's favors, you will not be able to number them; most surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. 18 And Allah knows what you conceal and what you do openly. 19 Those you call on besides God cannot create anything. They are themselves created. 20 (They are) dead, not living. And they know not when they will be raised. 21
