54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Ha, Meem. 1 A Revelation from (Allah), Most Gracious, Most Merciful;- 2 A Book the verses of which are explained in detail, the Qur’an in Arabic for people of intellect. 3 Announcing happy news and warnings. And yet most of them are averse and do not listen, 4 They say: "Our hearts are under veils, (concealed) from that to which thou dost invite us, and in our ears is a deafness, and between us and thee is a screen: so do thou (what thou wilt); for us, we shall do (what we will!)" 5 Say (unto them O Muhammad): I am only a mortal like you. It is inspired in me that your Allah is One Allah, therefor take the straight path unto Him and seek forgiveness of Him. And woe unto the idolaters, 6 who do not pay Zakah, and who deny the Hereafter. 7 [But,] verily, they who have attained to faith and do good works shall have a reward unending! 8
