QAF. I CALL to witness the glorious Qur'an. 1 Rather they were shocked that a Herald of Warning came to them from among themselves, so the disbelievers said, “This is something really strange.” 2 When we are dead and turned to dust, this returning (to life) is most far-fetched." 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a retaining record. 4 Rather, they belied the truth when it came to them, and now they are in a state of confusion. 5 Do they not look at the sky above them - how We have built it and made it beautiful and free of all faults? 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains, and We cause every delightful thing to grow in it 7 All these are to serve as eye openers and as a lesson to every being who is prone to turn (to the Truth). 8 and We have sent down from the sky blessed water with which We have brought forth gardens and grain to be harvested, 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 As a provision for men, and enlivened a region that was dead. Even thus will be the life after death. 11 The people of Noah, dwellers of the Ra's, Thamud, 12 And Ad and Firon and Lut's brethren, 13 And the dwellers of the grove and the people of Tuba; all rejected the apostles, so My threat came to pass. 14 So did We tire by creating the first time? Rather they doubt being created again. 15
