Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 None but God can avert it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
