Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 and the severally severing 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
