And verily, the dwellers of Al-Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers. 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 They used to hew out houses from the mountains and lived in security. 82 and the Cry seized them in the morning; 83 Out of what they had gained, nothing proved to be of any benefit to them. 84 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness. 85 Lo! Thy Lord! He is the All-Wise Creator. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the great Qur'an. 87 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 Just as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators 90 Who have made the Qur'an into portions. 91 But, by thy Sustainer! [On the Day of Judgment] We shall indeed call them to account, one and all, 92 for what they have done 93 Therefore proclaim openly (Allah's Message Islamic Monotheism) that which you are commanded, and turn away from Al-Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, and disbelievers, etc. - see V. 2:105). 94 Surely We will suffice you against the scoffers 95 who set up another god with God, but they shall soon learn. 96 We certainly know that you feel sad about what they say against you. 97 Therefore proclaim the Purity of your Lord with praise, and be of those who prostrate. 98 And worship your Lord until there comes unto you the certainty (i.e. death). 99
