The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful, 1 who are submissive to God in their prayers, 2 And who shun vain conversation, 3 who give charity, 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, 6 But those who covet more than this will be transgressors; 7 and who preserve their trusts and their covenant 8 to their promise, 9 these are the heirs 10 Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein. 11 And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 After that, at length ye will die 15 and be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And assuredly We created above you seven paths, and of the creation We have not been neglectful. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 as well as a tree that issues from [the lands adjoining] Mount Sinai, yielding oil and relish for all to eat. 20 And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat. 21 and are carried on them and also on ships. 22
