Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
