The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 Who determined and guided them, 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
