۞ But those who do not believe that they are destined to meet Us are wont to say: "Why have no angels been sent down to us?" - or, "Why do we not see our Sustainer?" Indeed, they are far too proud of themselves, having rebelled [against God's truth] with utter disdain! 21 The Day whereon they shall behold the angels on that day there will be no joy for the culprits, and they will say: away! away! 22 We shall advance upon what work they have done, and make it a scattered dust. 23 The inhabitants of the Garden will have the best residence and the finest lodging on that Day. 24 A day when the heaven with the clouds will be rent asunder and the angels will be sent down, a grand descent. 25 true sovereignty on that Day will belong to the Gracious One, and it will be a hard Day for those who deny the truth. 26 Upon that Day the harmdoer shall bite his hands, and say: 'Would that I had taken a Path with the Messenger! 27 "Ah! woe is me! Would that I had never taken such a one for a friend! 28 He led me away from the remembrance after it had come to me. And ever is Satan, to man, a deserter." 29 And the Noble Messenger submitted, “O my Lord – indeed my people took this Qur’an as worthy of being abandoned.” 30 Thus have We made for every prophet an enemy among the sinners: but enough is thy Lord to guide and to help. 31 And those who disbelieve say: "Why is not the Quran revealed to him all at once?" Thus (it is sent down in parts), that We may strengthen your heart thereby. And We have revealed it to you gradually, in stages. (It was revealed to the Prophet SAW in 23 years.). 32 And they shall not bring to you any argument, but We have brought to you (one) with truth and best in significance. 33 those who are going to be driven to Hell upon their faces, have taken an utterly wrong stand and their way is most erroneous! 34
