Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
