Do you not consider those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah - how are they averted? 69 Those who reject the Book and that with which We have sent Our Apostle; but they shall soon come to know, 70 When the shackles are around their necks and the chains; they will be dragged 71 into boiling water and then they will be burned in the fire. 72 and then they will be asked, "Where are those whom you associated [with God]?" 73 They will say, "They have been lost to us; nay, we did not invoke anything before [that had real existence]." Thus God leaves the deniers of the truth to stray; 74 that is because you exulted in the land without justification and because you behaved insolently. 75 So enter the gates of Hell to abide in it for ever." How evil the abode of the arrogant! 76 So you persevere with patience (in your mission). The promise of God is true. Whether We show you some of the punishment We have promised them, or gather you up in death, they have to come back to Us. 77 We have told you the stories of some of Our Messengers whom We had sent before you and We have not told you the stories of some others. A Messenger is not supposed to show a miracle without the permission of God. When God's decree of punishment comes to pass, He will judge truthfully and the supporters of the falsehood will perish when God's decree of punishemnt comes to pass. 78
