He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ HE FROWNED and turned away 1 when the blind man approached him, 2 But what could tell you that per chance he might become pure (from sins)? 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and that the admonition might profit him? 4 As for him who is not in want of any thing, 5 to him didst thou give thy whole attention, 6 Though it is not your concern if he should not grow (in fulness). 7 But he who comes to you running, 8 And he fears, 9 So you leave him, and are engrossed elsewhere! 10 No indeed; this is only a Reminder. 11 For any one who desires to bear it in mind, 12 [It is recorded] in honored sheets, 13 exalted, purified, 14 In the hands of scribes 15 Noble and dutiful. 16 Woe to man! How ungrateful he is! 17 From what stuff hath He created him? 18 From a single sperm He created, then proportioned him, 19 then the way eased for him, 20 then causes him to die and buries him, 21 Then He will raise him up again when He please. 22 No! Man has not yet accomplished what He commanded him. 23 Then let man look to his food, 24 That We pour forth water in abundance, 25 Then We split the earth properly. 26 then caused the grain to grow out of it, 27 grapes, and fresh fodder, 28 and olives and palms, 29 And garden-closes of thick foliage 30 and fruits, and pastures, 31 Provision for you and your cattle. 32 Then when cometh the Deafening Cry 33 That Day shall a man flee from his brother, 34 And from his mother and father, 35 And his wife and his sons; 36 for on that day everyone will be completely engrossed in his own concerns. 37 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 38 laughing, and rejoicing, 39 but some faces will be covered with dust 40 Blackness will cover them. 41 These will be the faces of the sinful disbelievers. 42
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
