The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Proclaim the Purity of your Lord, the Supreme. 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
