The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 in its long columns of flames. 9
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
