Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
ALIF LAM MIM. 1 There is no doubt that this Book is revealed by the Lord of the Universe. 2 Do they say that he, (Muhammad), has invented it? No, it is the truth from your Lord so that you will warn the people who have not received a warning before you. Perhaps they will seek guidance. 3 It is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two, in six days, and then He established Himself on the Throne. You have no guardian or intercessor other than He. Will you, then, not take heed? 4 He governs from the heaven to the earth and then the record (of this governance) goes up to Him in a day whose measure is a thousand years in your reckoning. 5 This is the Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Mighty the Merciful, 6 who perfected everything He created. He originated the creation of the human from clay, 7 then made his progeny from the extract of a mean fluid, 8 then He shaped him, and breathed His spirit in him. And He appointed for you hearing, and sight, and hearts; little thanks you show. 9 They have said, "How can we be brought to life again after we have been lost in the earth?" In fact, they have no faith in the Day of Judgment 10 ۞ Say: "The Angel of Death, put in charge of you, will (duly) take your souls: then shall ye be brought back to your Lord." 11
