Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
