The people of al-Hijr also rejected Our messengers: 80 We gave them Our signs, but they turned away from them. 81 And they used to hew out dwellings from the hills, (wherein they dwelt) secure. 82 An explosion struck them in the morning. 83 All that they had acquired was of no avail to them. 84 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness. 85 Surely your Lord is the All Knowing Creator! 86 We have indeed given you the seven oft-repeated (examples), and the majestic Qur'an. 87 Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers. 88 And say: Surely I am the plain warner. 89 Even as We sent down on the dividers 90 who have broken the Koran into fragments. 91 Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, 92 As to what they did. 93 (O Prophet), proclaim what you are commanded, and pay no heed to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity. 94 Indeed We suffice you against these mockers. 95 Those who adopt, with Allah, another god: but soon will they come to know. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 Proclaim thy Lord's praise, and be of those that bow, 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
