The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by those who draw themselves out in ranks 1 By the angels driving away. 2 and the reciters of a Remembrance, 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – and the Lord of the sun’s rising points. 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 With security from every froward devil. 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly, and they are darted at from every side. 8 and are repelled. Theirs is an unceasing chastisement. 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay. 11 Nay, you (O Muhammad SAW) wondered (at their insolence) while they mock (at you and at the Quran). 12 And heed not when they are reminded, 13 And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense." 20 'This is the Day of Decision, even that you cried lies to. 21
