We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
