The man who believed said further: "O my people! Follow me: I will lead you to the Path of Right. 38 “O my people! The life of this world is just a brief usage, and indeed the next abode is one of everlasting stay.” 39 Whoever does an evil, he shall not be recompensed (with aught) but the like of it, and whoever does good, whether male or female, and he is a believer, these shall enter the garden, in which they shall be given sustenance without measure. 40 ۞ And, O my people! how is it that I call you to salvation and you call me to the fire? 41 You invite me to disbelieve in Allah and associate with Him that of which I have no knowledge, and I invite you to the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver. 42 No doubt that what you call me to has no title to be called to in this world, nor in the hereafter, and that our turning back is to Allah, and that the extravagant are the inmates of the fire; 43 So you shall remember what I say to you, and I entrust my affair to Allah, Surely Allah sees the servants. 44 Wherefore Allah protected him from ills which they plotted, and there surrounded the family of Fir'awn the evil of torment. 45 The Fire; they are exposed to it morning and evening; and on the day when the Hour upriseth (it is said): Cause Pharaoh's folk to enter the most awful doom. 46 As they will noisily argue in the Fire, the weaker ones will say to the arrogant: "We were your followers, so will you take over some of our share of the fire?" 47 Those who had waxed proud will reply: “All of us are in it. Allah has already passed His judgement among His servants.” 48 Those in the Fire will say to its keepers, "Implore your Lord to relieve our torment for one day," 49 but they will say, "Did not your messengers come to you with clear signs?" They will say, "Yes." The keepers will say, "Then pray [for help] yourselves." But the prayer of those who deny the truth is of no avail. 50
