۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 and, indeed, that is a most mighty oath, if you only knew -- 76 That (this) is indeed a noble Qur'an 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 Which none toucheth save the purified, 79 a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds. 80 Do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem, 81 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence. 82 So why was it not, when the soul reaches up to the throat, – 83 And you are at that time looking on - 84 And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see-- 85 Then why do you not, if you are not to be recompensed, 86 That you send it (not) back-- if you are truthful? 87 If he is among the near 88 Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure. 89 And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand, 90 he will be welcomed by the words: “Peace to you” from the People on the Right. 91 But, if he is of those who belied, and went astray, 92 Then for him is entertainment with boiling water. 93 and the roasting in Hell. 94 This is the absolute Truth and certainty. 95 Then praise your Lord, the most supreme. 96
