The Night (Al-Layl)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the night when it covers 1 And the day resplendent 2 and by the creation of the male and the female. 3 you strive in various ways. 4 As for one who gives [to others] and fears [God], 5 And (in all sincerity) testifies to the best,- 6 We will make smooth for him the path of ease (goodness). 7 And for him who hoarded wealth and remained carefree, 8 and cries lies to the reward most fair, 9 So We will very soon provide him hardship. 10 His riches will not save him when he perisheth. 11 BEHOLD, it is indeed for Us to grace [you] with guidance; 12 And indeed, to Us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life]. 13 Wherefore I have warned you of Fire flaming, 14 None shall reach it but those most unfortunate ones 15 who rejected the Truth, calling it falsehood and turned his back on it. 16 But save him who fears 17 one who gives his wealth to become purified, 18 And who hath no favour from anyone to recompense. 19 seeking only the Face of his Lord, the Most High, 20 surely, he shall be satisfied. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
