The dwellers of the forest also rejected the messengers. 176 When Shu'eyb said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 177 I am for you an honest Messenger. 178 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 179 my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who give less (than the due). 181 Weigh your goods with proper balance 182 And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption. 183 And guard against (the punishment of) Him who created you and the former nations. 184 They said: Thou art but one of the bewitched; 185 and a mere mortal like us. We think you are a liar. 186 So cause a fragment of the sky to fall on us, if you are truthful." 187 He said, "My Lord has full knowledge of all your actions." 188 Then they branded him a liar, whereupon the chastisement of the Day of Canopy overtook them. It was the chastisement of a very awesome day. 189 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 190 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 191
