For those who fear God there are pleasure gardens with their Lord. 34 What! shall We then make (that is, treat) those who submit as the guilty? 35 What aileth you? How foolishly ye judge! 36 Or have ye a book through which ye learn- 37 that (in the Hereafter) you shall have all that you choose for yourselves? 38 Or have ye a covenant on oath from Us that reacheth to the Day of Judgment, that yours shall be all that ye ordain? 39 Ask them which of them, for that [claim], is responsible. 40 Or have they other partners [besides God]? Let them bring forth their other partners, if what they say be true. 41 On the day when there shall be a severe affliction, and they shall be called upon to make obeisance, but they shall not be able, 42 downcast will be their eyes, with ignominy overwhelming them - seeing that they had been called upon [in vain] to prostrate themselves [before Him] while they were yet sound [and alive]. 43 Let Me alone with him who belieth this discourse; step by step We lead them on when they perceive not. 44 And I do bear with them, surely My plan is firm. 45 Or do you ask from them a reward, so that they are burdened with debt? 46 Or have they (the knowledge of) the unseen, so that they write (it) down? 47 So wait with patience for the Command of thy Lord, and be not like the Companion of the Fish,- when he cried out in agony. 48 Had his Lord's grace not been bestowed upon him, he would have been cast away in disgrace upon that desolate shore. 49 But his Lord chose him and made him of the righteous. 50 And indeed the disbelievers seem as if they would topple you with their evil gaze when they hear the Qur’an, and they say, “He is indeed insane.” 51 Whereas it is not but an advice to the entire creation! 52
