He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Prophet frowned and turned away 1 Because the blind man had come in his august presence. 2 But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?- 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and the teaching might profit him? 4 As for him who regardeth himself self-sufficient 5 you eagerly attended to him -- 6 though you are not to be blamed if he would not purify himself -- 7 And as to him who comes to you striving hard, 8 And hath fear, 9 Of him you are neglectful and divert your attention to another, 10 By no means (should it be so)! For it is indeed a Message of instruction: 11 (and whoso wills, shall remember it) 12 upon pages high-honoured, 13 Exalted (in dignity), kept pure and holy, 14 In the hands of scribes (angels). 15 Noble and pious. 16 Cursed is man; how disbelieving is he. 17 From what substance did He create him? 18 Out of a sperm-drop did He create him and then determined a measure for him, 19 Then He makes the Path easy for him; 20 Then He causes his death and provides a grave for him. 21 then, He will raise him when He wills. 22 Indeed, he has not fulfilled that which He has ordered him. 23 Let man consider his food: 24 We poured water, pouring it in great abundance, 25 and let the earth to break open 26 We make the grain grow out of it, 27 together with grapes and vegetables, 28 And olive and palm trees 29 And gardens of dense shrubbery 30 and fruits, and pastures, 31 all this as a provision for you and your cattle. 32 But when the Shout cometh 33 on a Day when everyone will [want to] flee from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father, 35 his wife and his children. 36 For every man, that Day, will be a matter adequate for him. 37 Some faces will shine, 38 Laughing and full of joy, 39 And many will be dust-begrimed, 40 enveloped by darkness. 41 It is they, the disbelievers, the sinners. 42
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
