Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 The honourable recorders. 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
