Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Those who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists were not to be parted [from misbelief] until there came to them clear evidence - 1 An messenger from Allah, rehearsing scriptures kept pure and holy: 2 Wherein are discourses eternal. 3 Nor were the People of the Scripture divided until after the clear proof came unto them. 4 And they were not enjoined anything except that they should serve Allah, being sincere to Him in obedience, upright, and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, and that is the right religion. 5 Surely those who disbelieve from among the followers of the Book and the polytheists shall be in the fire of hell, abiding therein; they are the worst of men. 6 Indeed, they who have believed and done righteous deeds - those are the best of creatures. 7 Their recompense with their Lord shall be Gardens Everlasting, whereunder rivers flow - as abiders therein for evermore. Well-pleased will be Allah with them and well-pleased will be they with Him, that is for him who feareth his Lord. 8
