Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish. 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 He shall soon enter a Blazing Fire, 3 And his wife, the portress of fire wood, 4 shall have a rope of palmfiber around her neck! 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
