۞ (And it is said unto the angels): Assemble those who did wrong, together with their wives and what they used to worship 22 Besides Allah, then lead them to the way to hell. 23 And halt them so that they may be questioned. 24 'But what is the matter with you that you cannot help one another?,'" 25 In fact this day they have all surrendered. 26 And some of them inclined towards others, mutually questioning. 27 They will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right." 28 Others will respond, "It was you who did not want to have any faith. 29 And we had no authority over you, but you were an inordinate people; 30 Thus, the words of Our Lord about us have come true and now we are suffering the torment. 31 We mislead you and we ourselves had also gone astray." 32 So this day they all are partners in the punishment. 33 Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals. 34 They were those who, when it was said to them, "There is no god but God," behaved with insolence, 35 and said, "Should we give up our idols for the sake of an insane poet". 36 In fact he has brought the Truth, and testified for the Noble Messengers! 37 Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment, 38 Ye are requited naught save what ye did - 39 But Allah's chosen servants (shall be spared this woeful end). 40 For them is a known sustenance, 41 fruits of various kinds; and they shall be honoured, 42 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise), 43 On thrones, facing each other. 44 They will be served with a cup full of crystal clear wine, 45 Clear, delicious to drink, 46 Wherein there is no headache nor are they made mad thereby. 47 And with them shall be damsels of refraining looks, large-eyed 48 (Pure) as they were hidden eggs (of the ostrich). 49 They will turn to each other and ask questions. 50 One of them says, 'I had a comrade 51 “Who used to tell me, ‘Do you believe it is true?’ 52 "(That) when we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed (be raised up) to receive reward or punishment (according to our deeds)?" 53 He shall say: Will you look on? 54 So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He says, 'By God, wellnigh thou didst destroy me; 56 for had it not been for my Sustainer's favour, I would surely be [now] among those who are given over [to suffering]! 57 But then, [O my friends in paradise,] is it [really] so that we are not to die 58 except for our first death? Are we not going to be punished? 59 This is indeed the mighty triumph, 60 and for the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is such [a paradise] the better welcome - or the [hellish] tree of deadly fruit? 62 Surely We have made it to be a trial to the unjust. 63 Indeed it is a tree that sprouts from the base of hell. 64 Its spathes are like the heads of satans. 65 So indeed they will eat from it, and fill their bellies with it. 66 Then after it, indeed for them is the drink of boiling hot water. 67 Then thereafter, verily, their return is to the flaming fire of Hell. 68 Verily they found their fathers gone astray. 69 and they are running in their footsteps. 70 And assuredly many of the ancients went astray before them, 71 although, verily, We had sent warners unto them: 72 See then the end of those who were warned, 73 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 74

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
