Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 What, does the human think We shall never gather his bones? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 None the less man chooses to deny what lies ahead of him, 5 He asks: "When will the Day of Resurrection be?" 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 Upon that day the recourse shall be to thy Lord. 12 Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off. 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 And even if he presents all the excuses he has, none will be listened to. 15 Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it. 16 Surely it is for Us to have you commit it to memory and to recite it. 17 Thus, when We recite it, follow thou its wording [with all thy mind]: 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 Nay; the truth is that you love ardently (the good of this world) that can be obtained hastily, 20 and neglect the life to come. 21 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 22 Looking at their Lord. 23 And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone 24 Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 And it is said: Who will be a magician? 27 And he bethinketh that it is the time of parting. 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 unto thy Lord that Day is the drive. 30
