The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 and by the promised Day, 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
