Pilgrimage (Al-Hajj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ O People! Fear your Lord. The catastrophe of the Last Hour shall be terrible indeed: 1 The Day ye shall see it, every mother giving suck shall forget her suckling-babe, and every pregnant female shall drop her load (unformed): thou shalt see mankind as in a drunken riot, yet not drunk: but dreadful will be the Wrath of Allah. 2 And among men there is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge and follows every rebellious Shaitan; 3 For him it is decreed that whoso taketh him for friend, he verily will mislead him and will guide him to the punishment of the Flame. 4 O mankind! if ye are in doubt concerning the Resurrection, then lo! We have created you from dust, then from a drop of seed, then from a clot, then from a little lump of flesh shapely and shapeless, that We may make (it) clear for you. And We cause what We will to remain in the wombs for an appointed time, and afterward We bring you forth as infants, then (give you growth) that ye attain your full strength. And among you there is he who dieth (young), and among you there is he who is brought back to the most abject time of life, so that, after knowledge, he knoweth naught. And thou (Muhammad) seest the earth barren, but when We send down water thereon, it doth thrill and swell and put forth every lovely kind (of growth). 5 This is because Allah only is True and because He will revive the dead, and because He is Able to do all things. 6 The Last Hour is bound to come. There is no doubt about it. God will raise up those who are in their graves. 7 And among men there is such a one that disputes concerning God without knowledge or guidance, or an illuminating Book, 8 (Disdainfully) bending his side, in order to lead (men) astray from the Path of Allah: for him there is disgrace in this life, and on the Day of Judgment We shall make him taste the Penalty of burning (Fire). 9 [and he shall be told:] "This is an outcome of what thine own hands have wrought - for, never does God do the least wrong to His creatures!" 10
