Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
ALIF LAM MIM. 1 THESE ARE MESSAGES of the divine writ, full of wisdom, 2 And a guidance and grace for those who do good, 3 who establish Prayer and pay Zakah, and have firm faith in the Hereafter. 4 Such are on guidance from their Lord, and such are the successful. 5 But among men are also those who spread frivolous stories to mislead (others) from the way of God, without any knowledge, and take it lightly. For such as these the nemesis will be shameful. 6 When Our verses are recited to him, he turns his back in pride, as though he never heard them, and in his ears was heaviness. Give glad tidings to him of a painful punishment! 7 For those who believe and work righteous deeds, there will be Gardens of Bliss,- 8 In which they will abide; it is a true promise of Allah; and only He is the Almighty, the Wise. 9 He created the heavens without any pillars visible to you and He placed mountains in the earth as pegs lest it should turn topsy turvy with you, and He dispersed all kinds of animals over the earth, and sent down water from the sky causing all kinds of excellent plants to grow on it. 10 Allah has created this – therefore show me what has been created by those other than Him; in fact the unjust are in open error. 11
